It is commonly associated with UI, on contrary UI is a subset of UX. UX starts way before UI. It is a collective effort and research involved in acquiring and interacting with a product/service, planning and organising the activities on the product/service, it’s branding, smooth flow of the modules and functions. UX promises fewer clicks i.e. in other terms highest levels of usability. Imagine users having a hard time finding current affairs section on the app/site. That would be the last thing on a UX designer’s mind. Simplicity infused with modernization is the key for the ultimate UX.
“No product is an island. A product is more than the product. It is a cohesive, integrated set of experiences. Think through all of the stages of a product or service – from initial intentions through final reflections, from the first usage to help, service, and maintenance. Make them all work together seamlessly.”
— Don Norman, inventor of the term “User Experience”
